Welcome to PAL
PAL is the premier web resource and online community serving ALL professional “artists” at-large. We are here for one purpose: To get professional creatives communicating with one another. Come in and make us your home page for creative news and information.
Reinventing the Wheel
We don't have any illusions that there are dozens of other sites you can visit to gather information about the creative industry. And, there are numerous organizations that have launched web sites geared toward helping other creatives navigate the waters of independent operations.
So, the first question you have to ask is "how is PAL different?" Well, our aim is to build a true community of creatives who are interested in fostering education and a new code of ethics for the creative industry.
- We are not affiliated with a major design publication.
- We are not affiliated with a major design organization.
- We are international artists, designers, writers, animators, illustrators, videographers, agencies, craftsmen, educators, web designers, programmers, application developers, game developers, marketing professionals, SEO pros, legal professionals, business owners, etc. ... who work in or with the creative industry.
- We believe that a community can change the way things are done. And, that means everyone from the lowest rung to the highest rung on the creative status ladder should be given a chance to share their experience and voices.
Oh, and we also don't believe that membership fees foster the best content either ... we only require that you register in order to participate.
If you want to support our efforts, then support our efforts. If you don't, we will still be here if you need us.
PAL will be ceasing publication
We appreciate everyone who has shown interest and those who have graciously donated their time to pen a few articles, but unfortunately, our traffic and inability to find regular contributing authors simply does not justify further efforts. We will be ceasing publication of PAL early in 2010 in order to focus our efforts on other projects.
StopWorkForHire.com will continue to be supported and expanded as time permits. We have plans to retool a few aspects of the design and expand the usefulness of the site.
Thank you all. The Editor.
