In addition to an annual adventure, to sample local cuisine across Europe or ski the mountains of Chile or visit attractions around my home state, I, we, are quite active in our local arts community. We regularly attend the symphony, theatre productions, and local gallery openings.  Just get out. It makes no difference what you enjoy ... drop by your favorite local tavern, see a movie, or read a book.

Just understand that burnout will happen whether you like it or not and you may as well invest the time to devise your own methods of dealing with the stress.

Music seems to do it for me.  If that doesn’t work, research will.  Most of the time, the logical left brain interferes with creativity.  But sometimes the problem with the right-brain function of creativity is a lack of left-brain knowledge.  Brainstorming is an absolute must.
