We don't have any illusions that there are dozens of other sites you can visit to gather information about the creative industry.  And, there are numerous organizations that have launched web sites geared toward helping other creatives navigate the waters of independent operations. 

So, the first question you have to ask is "how is PAL different?" Well, our aim is to build a true community of creatives who are interested in fostering education and a new code of ethics for the creative industry.

• We are not affiliated with a major design publication.
• We are not affiliated with a major design organization.
• We accept all members, not just those members who fit a predetermined critieria for inclusion or those who have obtained an "elite" reputation.
• We believe that a community can change the way things are done. And, that means everyone from the lowest rung to the highest rung on the creative status ladder should be given a chance to share their experience and voices.

Oh, and we also don't believe that membership fees foster the best content either ... we only require that you register in order to participate.
